Get Ready to Relive the Historic 2008 Campaign

From the earliest stages of Senator Barack Obama’s presidential run, filmmakers Amy Rice and Alicia Sams were granted extraordinary access to the candidate, his inner circle, and the vast campaign network that helped boost him into the White House. Now, a year after Obama’s historic election, HBO is presenting By the People: The Election of Barack Obama, Rice and Sams’s behind-the-scenes account of Obama’s world-changing presidential run. The film premieres Tuesday, November 3, at 9pm/8C on HBO.

We want this unprecedented film to be seen by as many people as possible. So we’ve made it easy for you to get together with friends to relive the moment of the 2008 election. If you want to have people over, create a viewing and invite your friends to join. Order some food, get comfortable on the couch, and experience a side of the campaign that very few people were lucky enough to witness firsthand. (If you can’t host a viewing, use this tool to email your friends and ask if they’d like to have people over to watch.)
